Electromach in Brazil

(by our Senior Field Engineer in Brazil, Jan Willem Gerdingh)

From his first 'field job' Electromach’s new Field Service Engineer, Jan Willem Gerdingh, has kept a travelogue. This is his story:

It has been almost 5 weeks since Electromach colleague, René Mikkers, and I boarded the plane towards Brazil. My first trip in that direction and also my first field job for Electromach. René will support me how to act with ATEX installations, the specialization of Electromach, and I will support René with the PLC control and communication with various monitoring and control systems from other vendors.

6050: NEW Zone 1 LED pendant light fitting

Equipped with a 28 LED array, R. STAHL's new 6050 series pendant light fittings are suitable for use in Ex zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.

At a light current of 5,700 lm, the LED units reach a luminous intensity of 10,000 cd at a ±60° angle in front of the lamp. With various reflectors, 20,000 cd at a ±30° angle or 30,000 cd at ±15° are also possible.

Requiring merely 75 W (65 W for the LED), the new lights are considerably more energy-efficient than functionally similar products with conventional lamps.

NEW manual call point with GRP enclosure

Following on from the BEXCP3 range, we are now pleased to introduce a range of manual call points manufactured with GRP enclosures. Designed for the manual activation of fire alarms, gas detection and emergency shutdown systems, the units are environmentally sealed to IP66.

They meet the requirements for rugged, corrosion resistant non-metallic units for both onshore and offshore environments, and offer outstanding reliability when installed in harsh environments.

Available as standard in a range of colours, including striped versions, different systems can be colour-coded to enable rapid visual identification in an emergency.

CityRunners have established their goal

On April 22, it was the 65th anniversary of the Enschede Marathon. A group of Electromach employees had prepared themselves for running a 10k, the CityRUN 10k. Not for everyone the preparation went smoothly, so unfortunately some of the group could not start the 10k. Eventually 9 runners appeared at the start line under the leadership of Sales Director Robert André de la Porte. After a windy and cold start, everyone successfully made it to the finish line.
